Google updated Payment Option(UPI) on Play Store

On Thursday, Google officially announced that they have enhanced a Unified Payments Interface(UPI) as a new payment option on Google Play Store for all its users in India. As in coming weeks UPI will be the payment option on Play Store for purchasing apps, games and also for in-app purchasing apps.

A statement by Saurabh Agarwal (Head of Google Play Retail and Payments Activation – India, Vietnam, and New Zealand.) “Indian app developers are already building successful businesses on the Google Play Store offering a range of great apps across categories, and we are committed to helping them grow.”

In order to use these UPI at first, users should need to link their UPI ID(VPA) in Play Store and use their bank account to purchase apps or in-app purchases.

Because of this new feature, which in turn increases more people to use premium apps, games and in-app purchases. Relaying on this fact developers and creators will get a wider response for apps and their content. This feature is already spotted for some users.
